Teresa & I both work at the Union Square Grill in downtown Seattle. The Grill was recently named one of the "Top Ten Steakhouses in America." Whether you're in the mood for a prime Porterhouse or fresh Northwest fare, you'd be hard pressed to find better food or service. View my photos.
One of our Favorite things about the Northwest is that there is so much to do here. From the mountains to the lakes, from the Sound to the Islands; you will never run out of things to do. Some of the sights of the Northwest are some of the most beautiful you'll ever see.
Downtown Seattle offers unlimited things to do. There is the 5th Ave Theatre, the Benaroya Symphony Hall the Seattle Art Museum, ballet & opera. The Seattle Center is one of our favorite places to go, with an Amusement Park, Pacific Science Center, I-Max, Children's Museum and lots of food.
The Woodland Park Zoo is a great place to go with the kids. We all just love it there and usually go about 6 or 8 times a year. Wild Waves & the Enchanted Village is another park that is very high on the hit list for both kids and adults! We are members of both parks, meaning you get in for less.
As far as sports go, there is lots of golf and fishing everywhere, and skiing in the winter. The Seattle Mariners are one of the hottest baseball teams around the last couple years. We are also home to the Seattle Seahawks, the Seattle Supersonics, and the Washington Huskies.
We enjoy
camping
on one of the many lakes or rivers whenever we can. A good way to
enjoy the sights is to just take a
ferry to one of the
Islands. You might want to
rent a cabin for the night, or just spend the afternoon sightseeing. |
